Matt McFarlane

I am a motivated and hardworking Journalist with a strong interest in arts and culture who is looking to launch my career in the journalism industry. Through my degree, I have been specialising in music journalism through my work with the student-run radio station UCFM. I also have great experience in sports journalism through an internship that has turned into a long-term volunteer role for local football side Belconnen United Football Club.
I have found it extremely rewarding to focus in on stories about Canberra's local community, be it through the arts and entertainment
that make the city what it is, the sport that gets so many out in the crowds every weekend, and the topics that are relevant locally, particularly for the generation that has found it so strange stepping into the adult world in such a strange time.
